At the beginning of March,
The Bootcamp took place from Monday March 11 to Friday March 17, 2019 in the Almògavers Business Factory (carrer dels Almogàvers, 165, Barcelona).
Our team took part at it with the clear aims to learn as much as possible, improve and push ahead our project.
Our week in the Bootcamp
We started with the Lombard Method and unleashed the power of the collective intelligence during a whole day.
Then the second day we prototyped differently our ideas and creatively checked which of our assumptions may fail. And finally, the last day and a half, we focused on communication, crafting our message and distilling it in a 3’ presentation, to compete with the other 17 project during the DemoDay, on Friday.
It was a like a storm! We carried out a huge amount work (about 133h) from Monday to Friday, but it was completely worthwhile.
To shortly resume our major achievements:
- 129 new ideas emerged during the creativity phase;
- we confirmed our main assumptions and received both new ideas and priceless suggestions;
- our message is now clearer and more effective.
We spent a lot of time crafting our message. Which details we have to leave in? Which information may be cut out from the presentation? These were our most frequent questions.
And then we are on Friday, in a room, in front of the jury. We essayed our presentation more than 50 times, but the emotion was like the first time. Only we didn’t feel stressed anymore. We were taking our chance, doing our best! And it went fast: a 3 minutes presentation, few questions and we’ve finished.
Finally, we took a break, playing and socializing with our new friends, waiting for the jury to deliberate. We were happy and we knew it!
Even if we were in the 8 out of 18 projects that had to go home, this week was priceless. We succeeded and highly improved our project. Looking backward to Monday, our message was so less focused that it doesn’t even seem our right now. It was a very intense week for our team, but it was worthwhile.

There was a bit of silence before mentioning the last one. We thought it was very long, and we thought we had no chances anymore. And then “The last one: EnvJoy”!
We’re in!! We’re in!!!
Our anxiety immediately flowed in a mix of happiness and incredulity!!! Our adventure keeps going on. The second phase of the program will start on March 25th.
